In Elul of 5770 (August 2010) Mosdos Ahavas Yehonoson was establishined to meet the needs of the English speaking b'nei chutz la'aretz living in Eretz Yisroel. A few years later, we opened our own beis medrash and were transfformed into the Torah Kollel Kehilla to serve the larger community in a myriad of ways. Located in Ramat Beit Shemesh, the kollel enjoys the quiet surroundings of a true makom Torah, made up of a predominant majority of English speaking b'nei Torah, both avreichim and ba'alei batim.
Mosdos Ahavas Yehonoson is under the leadership of HaRav Dovid Lewin shlit"a who is the author of several seforim in halacha & hashkafa. Originally from Toronto, Canada, the Rosh Kollel studied in the famous Telshe Yeshiva in Cleveland, Ohio where he received semicha. In 2001, Rabbi Lewin and his family made aliyah to Ramat Beit Shemesh, where he continues to pursue his lifelong passion of teaching Torah. As Rosh Kollel and Rav of the Kehilla, he utilizes his breadth of knowledge and pedagogic skills to guide and mold the young kollel scholars and lead the greater kehilla.
Our kehilla is comprised of people from all walks of life and age groups. Many have spent years searching for a place where they feel they belong and are now proud to call Mosdos Ahavas Yehonoson "home".
Whether it's a regular Shabbos, Yomim Noraim, or a simchas Beis HaShoeiva, Ahavas Yehonoson give more than a sense of friendship. It's a growing family.
Join us for Shabbos morning davening (8:15) followed by the "kol ha'ne'arim" 15 minute learning seder, and a hot kiddush!
The Torah Kollel spreads Torah worldwide electronically and in print. Whether it is the Yesodos on the parsha or the Daftorah on the haftarah, the Torah Kollel's emails reach a vast readership every week.

The world of kashrus in Eretz Yisroel is complex. We help the community navigate these waters by certifying local establishments and guiding the public in raising the bar of kashrus for the consumer.
